Membership and Outreach Chair
Minneapolis-Tours is interested in developing a membership recruitment program to better advance the goals of the organization. The Membership chair will work with the board and have the primary responsibility for helping shape this effort.
Good with numbers? Help manage Minneapolis-Tours’ finances and budgets.
Fundraising Committee Chair
While the entire Minneapolis-Tours organization will be responsible for fundraising efforts, this position will be spearheaded by a volunteer who will play a leadership role in developing Minneapolis-Tours fundraising activities.
Mtsistercities.wordpress.com is Minneapolis-Tours primary communication tool and portal to information about the organization. We are looking for someone familiar with open source software (WordPress) who can help us improve our site’s functionality and design.
Lending editorial support to our contributing bloggers, the blog editor will have the privilege of shaping and editing blog stories appearing on our Website.
Guest Exchange Program Manager
Visitors from both Tours and Minneapolis require places to stay during their visits. We need an individual who can coordinate and secure accommodations in each of the cities.
Bloggers and Web Content Providers
Contributing bloggers will have an opportunity to make the Tours experience come alive for visitors, as well as provide insights and topics related to building community across cultures. We are especially seeking individuals who are currently in Tours, recently returned from Tours or are planning a trip soon to contribute personal blogs.
We want to build a basic membership database to keep track of our supporters, volunteers, and friends. The Database Manager volunteer will have experience with data entry and knowledge of data based software programs.
The backbone of our organization rest on its volunteers. The Volunteer Coordinator will initiate the retention and recruitment of volunteers to support various Minneapolis-Tours activities as well as ensure a positive volunteer experience for all our volunteers.
Best Practices Evaluation
To help Minneapolis-Tours evaluate the effectiveness of its outreach activities and projects, an individual is needed to coordinate research and evaluate the best practices of other sister cities organizations across the country and the world.

Tours Language School
Parlez-vous Français? Tours has offered the possibility of reduced fees for its language school in connection with the Sister Cities program. Minneapolis-Tours seeks an individual to evaluate this opportunity and implement the program in partnership with Tours.
