Thank you to everyone who contributed their time to help Minneapolis make a great impression on visitors from around the world in hosting the 2015 Sister Cities International Conference in July. For a recap of this opportunity to expand our global partnerships, read Minneapolis and Tours Sister Cities board member Sarah Johnson’s blog or like us on Facebook to view our photo gallery!

Even President Barack Obama is a fan of sister cities: “The increasing interconnectivity of nations in today’s global economy underscores the need for robust partnerships between communities around the world. Organizations like Sister Cities International foster such relationships, increasing mutual knowledge and understanding between cities and cultures. These collaborations promote trust among citizens and nations, create opportunities for technological and economic innovation and development, and lay the foundation for continued peace and prosperity.”
